Binding SimpleLongListSelector to complex object

Mar 24, 2011 at 5:37 AM

How does it bind to the complex object? If I call SetGroupingItemsSource<Game> in your example, I get the exception

Argument 1: cannot convert from 'System.Collections.Generic.List<System.Linq.IGrouping<string,string>>' to 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable<System.Linq.IGrouping<string,Game>>'

The SimpleLongListSelector derives from LongListSelector so if you need to bind to a complex object, you would simply assign the ItemsSource. This method is specifically for use to simply bind to a LINQ query's grouping support.
